Lautaro

Lautaro was one of the most infamous war leaders in ancient Chile. Lautaro was known throughout Chile for his bravery and supreme leadership skills. He was also very confident and wise. Lautaro is best remembered for courageously leading the Chilaen army

against the hated leader, Pedro de Valdivia. Interestingly enough, Lautaro was captured by the Spanish army upon Valdivia's arrival. Valdivia noticed Lautaro's strength, and made him his personal servant. For about eight years, Lautaro worked under Valdivia. During this time, he caught onto excellent military strategy. He also learned Valdivia's strength, as well as weaknesses. This gave him a huge advantage while leading his troops into battle. He easily beat the Valdivia, and killed the leader himself. Lautaro should be remembered today for his great bravery and military strategy
